The Miracle of God’s Grace
I’ve made myself available to those who haven’t bothered to ask. I’m here, ready to be found by those who haven’t bothered to look. I kept saying 'I’m here, I’m right here' to a nation that ignored me.
Isaiah 65:1 - MSG
Someone once called God “The Hound of Heaven” because, like a hound dog, He searches relentlessly until He finds. He finds us. Today’s verse reflects this thought. It is a part of the miracle of God’s marvelous, unearned grace. Grace sought me and found me. Grace sought you and found you as well.
This is a kind of grace that is so surprising, so undeserved, so tender, that it almost feels upside‑down. Think of it, God does not wait for people to come searching for Him—He goes searching for them. He makes Himself available to hearts that never asked, never sought, never cared. He speaks to those who weren’t listening. He stands before those who weren’t looking. He keeps saying, “I’m here, I’m right here.”
This is the heart of God. This is the God Who chases after those who weren’t even trying to find Him. This is the God Who comes near. This is the God Who makes Himself known. This is the God Who opens the door wide into His presence, into His arms. This is the miracle of unearned grace. This is undeserved mercy. This is God’s initiative—not ours. This is how much He longs for you to enjoy His presence.
You don’t have to be the one who figures everything out. You don’t have to be the one who knows how to reach God. You don’t have to be the one who understands the right words, the right steps, or the right spiritual rhythm. God has already stepped toward you. God has already made Himself available. God has already said, “I’m here.”
He is available when your heart feels dull. He is available when your mind feels scattered. He is available when your life feels messy. He is available when you feel unworthy, uninterested, or unsure.
You don’t have to climb your way to Him. You simply have to turn toward the One who is already near. The same God who sought others way back then seeks you. The God who made Himself available to those who weren’t looking is making Himself available to you today. The God who kept saying, “I’m here, I’m right here,” is still saying it now. He’s here. Right now.
Today, let your heart rest in the miracle of His unearned grace: God is available. And He is available to you. Enjoy your journey with Him today.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for coming toward me long before I ever came toward You. Thank You for making Yourself available even when my heart is distracted or distant. Thank You for the miracle of Your precious unearned grace. Help me to turn toward You today with trust, with honesty, and with a grateful heart.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
