Soaring High in Glory

“Soar high in the skies, O God! Cover the whole earth with your glory!”

Psalm 108:5 - MSG

There is a majesty in Psalm 108:5 that lifts your heart the moment you read it. David isn’t whispering worship—he’s sending it upward, past the clouds, past the skies, past the highest heavens. He is calling for God to be seen, to be known, honored, and exalted everywhere. It is worship that rises. Worship that expands. Worship that soars. Worship that literally yells to all creation that God is God!

And tucked inside this soaring praise is a quiet, breathtaking truth for every Believer in Christ: the God who is exalted above the heavens is the same God who has lifted you into a place of glory with Him. We are lifted Into His majesty with Him.

David’s prayer is a declaration of God’s supremacy—His greatness towering above every earthly power, every human limitation, every trouble David faced. But for those who belong to Christ, this exaltation is not only something we witness, it is something we share.

Scripture tells us that we have been raised up with Christ, seated with Him in heavenly places, held in the life of the One who reigns above all things. His glory is not distant from us. His majesty is not separate from us. Because of our position in Christ, we live under the reality of His exalted reign—and we rise with Him.

We can all live a life that rises because when Christ saves you, God lifts you high. Not in pride. Not in self‑importance. But in identity.

You are carried into the life of the risen Christ. You are anchored in His victory. You are held in His glory. You are strengthened by His majesty.

And because of that, your life is meant to rise—above fear, above discouragement, above the heaviness of this world. Not because you are strong, but because He is exalted. And when you exalt Him, your worship soars with the Psalmist.

When you praise God, your worship rises. When you trust God, your heart rises. When you walk with God, your life rises.

You soar—not by effort, but by union. Not by striving, but by belonging. Not by trying to climb, but by being lifted.

Pause and reflect today. Let the reality of the Psalmist’s praise become yours. Let it settle deeply into you. God is exalted above the heavens. His glory covers the earth. And because you are in Christ, you rise with Him.

So, let your worship soar. Let your confidence soar. Let your hope soar. You are held in the majesty of the One who reigns above all things.

Prayer

Father, be exalted above the heavens in my life today. Let Your glory shine over every place I walk and every moment I face. Thank You that in Christ, You have lifted me into a place of strength, identity, and hope. Teach me to live from that high place—resting in Your majesty, trusting in Your goodness, and rising in Your glory.
