Praise Him Everywhere
I’m thanking you, God, out in the streets, singing your praises in town and country.
Psalm 108:3 - MSG
“Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere. Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is Lord.” You probably remember this song. But do you remember that it is an actual encouragement to share the Jesus in you with others? Today’s verse is a not-so-quiet reminder for all of us to let the world around us know about Him and His greatness, about all the wonderful things He has done for us.
Perhaps you can see it; there is something beautifully bold about the way the Psalmist is speaking to us today. It’s not quiet. It’s not hidden. It’s not whispered behind closed doors. It is worship that steps outside, lifts its head, and lets the whole world hear. It’s a rallying call for Followers of Jesus to let His light shine for all the world to see.
This is not a private moment of devotion here. This is a public declaration — a life so full of gratitude that it spills into the streets, the fields, the marketplaces, and the everyday rhythms of life. The Psalmist is saying, and we can say, “I will praise You everywhere, God — wherever I go, whoever is around, whatever the setting may be, I will praise You.”
This verse reminds us that worship was never meant to be confined to just the church walls or our quiet corners. It was meant to travel. It was meant to be seen. It was meant to be heard. God’s goodness is too great to be kept within one culture, one community, or one circle of Believers. His glory deserves to be recognized everywhere — in every language, every land, every heart, everywhere all the time.
And your praise becomes part of that witness. Your gratitude becomes part of that story. Your worship becomes part of that light. You needn’t worry about who might overhear you. You don’t have to adjust the volume based on who might be around you. You don’t need to shrink back because someone might not understand. No, you can go unabashedly, unashamed into your little corner of the world and let everyone know who He is in you.
Yes, sometimes that might take courage, but that same courage that compelled the psalmist to write this psalm is what God has placed in you. Today’s verse is an invitation to live a life where your love for Him is not tucked away but lived openly, joyfully, and confidently. Not to draw attention to yourself, but to draw attention to Him.
When you praise God publicly — through kindness, through gratitude, through words, through the way you carry yourself — you become a witness. Not a preacher with a platform, but a Believer, a Follower of Jesus, with a testimony. With a story to tell the world. With a burst of joy that let’s the world know that Jesus is your Lord.
Your life says, “God has been good to me.” “God is worthy of honor.” “God is faithful, and I want the world to know.” And someone who has never considered God before may begin to wonder because they saw something in you. They may begin to long for that same Jesus.
So today, let your praise travel. Let it walk with you into the grocery store, the workplace, the neighborhood, the quiet places and the crowded ones. Let it be natural, sincere, and unashamed.
Because God is worthy to be praised — everywhere.
Prayer
Father, thank You for being worthy of praise in every place and every moment of my life. Give me a heart that is unashamed to honor You, whether I am alone or surrounded by others. Let my gratitude be visible, my worship be sincere, and my life be a testimony of Your goodness. Help me carry Your praise into every space I enter today.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen…
