All in With Jesus
Jesus said, "Throw your lot in with the One that God has sent. That kind of a commitment gets you in on God's works."
John 6:29 - MSG
There is a beautiful simplicity in Jesus’ words: “The work of God is this—to believe in the One He has sent.” In a world that often measures devotion by activity, achievement, or visible spiritual effort, Jesus gently redirects us. The true “work” God desires isn’t a checklist of religious accomplishments. It’s a life anchored in wholehearted trust—an “all in” commitment to the One He sent.
When someone says, “I’m all in,” they are saying they are totally committed. As a Christian, "I'm all in" has a powerful meaning. It expresses a decision to follow Christ without reservation. Saying "I'm all in for Christ" means that I have surrendered my life to Him. It means I trust Him completely. I am not keeping part of my life back for myself. And all in for Jesus also means that I will obey Him even when it's difficult.
Sometimes we wonder what we need to do to “get in on God’s works.” God never hands out a “to do” list. He hands out a Person. Faith is the door, and not just faith in general, but faith fixed on Jesus Christ—the One sent from the Father. This faith, the believing part, is both the primary work required of us, and the very thing God Himself enables by grace.
To “throw your lot in with the One God has sent” is more than a moment of belief—it’s a lifestyle of discipleship. It means staking your identity, your future, your choices, and your daily direction on Him. It means trusting Him when His way is harder, following Him when His path is narrower, and surrendering when your own strength runs thin. This is the commitment that gets you in on God’s works. You’re “in” because you walk with the One who accomplishes them.
In a world that often pulls us toward self‑reliance, self‑definition, and self‑promotion, Jesus calls us to a different kind of life. A life where the greatest work is simply this: believe in Him enough to follow Him fully. Go all in. Let your faith be more than a confession—let it be a life fully lived for Him and with Him. Go ahead, Go all in with Jesus. Hold nothing back. The One who gave everything for you is worthy of nothing less than everything from you.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to be all in with You. Teach me to trust You with my whole heart, surrender every part of my life to You, and follow wherever You lead. Help me live today in a way that shows my life is committed to the One the Father has sent.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen…
